Step 1

Step 1 : This step is very easy! Just cross the small white seed bead labelled with a green dot. As usual, make sure the two ends of the fishing line are crossing the bead in opposite directions. Now pull tight and you can clearly see the circle of 6 small white seed beads that we have just created. We can also see that the circle is already almost all surrounded by blue beads already just because of so much bead overlap between circles. So all we have to do is complete this and fully surround it, and then we'll move on again!

Step 2

Step 2 : Now that we are getting further along in this beaded heart pattern, we are starting to have a lot of bead overlap and so we have to add less and less new beads to the pattern, and more and more just stringing the beads we already have and inter-connecting them. Here is another example of stringing the fishing line through a bead that was added somewhere else and is going to be reused. So take the end of the fishing line depicted by a red arrow and string it through the large blue bead labelled with a turquoise dot. This bead is already in your pattern, so look carefully for it! To the other end of the fishing line, add the 4 new beads shown in the image. The last bead to be added is labelled with a red dot.

Step 3

Step 3 : Now cross that small white seed bead labelled with a red dot (the bead you just added to the pattern) with both ends of the fishing line, and as always, make sure they are crossing it in opposite directions. You'll be taking the end of the fishing line depicted by the red arrow and stringing it through the white seed bead with a red dot.

Step 4

Step 4 : Here we are yet again going to start a new circle of small white seed beads. Are you starting to see a pattern and get the hang of it yet? This circle will consist of 4 small white seed beads. So we have one that we just crossed, and there are two more adjacent to it in the pattern that we will string through, and then we must add the balance, which is 1 new seed bead. So, take the end of the fishing line depicted by the black arrow and string it through the 2 small white seed beads labelled with pink dots. To the other end of the fishing line, add 1 new small white seed bead (labelled with a purple dot).

Step 5

Step 5 : Now cross that small white seed bead labelled with a purple dot that you just added to the beaded heart pattern. Make sure both ends of the fishing line are crossing the bead in opposite directions. Now you can pull tight and see that we have made our circle of 4 small white seed beads! And if you look carefully, you can also see that we already have 4 large blue seed beads surrounding those 4 small white seed beads, so we won't have to add many more beads to complete this section!
