Welcome to the 3-D beaded rounded heart pattern instructions! If you have any difficulty following this tutorial, please post a comment at the bottom of the page on which you are stuck, and I'll do my best to help!
Step 1 : This step is very simple! Simply cross the last bead that was added to your heart pattern! This is the small white seed bead labelled with a purple dot. We are now finished with the inner white circle of 5 small white seed beads! See? Quick and painless! LOL, okay I know it's not an easy pattern. But it's more long than hard. Anyways, we are now going to move onto making a new inner circle unit that consists of only 4 small white seed beads.
Step 2 : So in order to create our next inner circle of white seed beads, we need to string through the existing white seed bead that is next to the one we crossed in the previous step, and we need to add the remainder as new beads to the pattern. So, specifically, take the end of the fishing line depicted by the black arrow and string it through the small white seed bead that is labelled with a green dot. This bead already exists in the heart pattern, so don't add a new bead here! Then, onto the other end of the fishing line, add only 2 new white small seed beads. This is of course because we are only going to make a circle of 4 small white seed beads, rather than 5 or 6, as before. The last bead to be added is labelled with a light blue dot.
Step 3 : This step is quite easy! Simply cross the last bead that was added to the pattern, the small white seed bead labelled with the light blue dot! Specifically, you'll want to be stringing through it with the end of the fishing line depicted by the red arrow (since the other end of the fishing line is already strung through it). As usual, make sure you're stringing through it with both ends of the fishing line in opposite directions.
Step 4 : Is it deja vu yet? This pattern of steps is going to repeat throughout this entire heart pattern! So take the end of the fishing line depicted by the red arrow and string it through the large blue seed bead labelled with a purple dot. To the other end of the fishing line, add the 4 new seed beads shown in the image. The last bead to be added is a small white seed bead labelled with a blue dot.
Step 5 : Normally, at this point, we would continue all around that new inner circle of 4 small white seed beads, but in this case, it's more efficient to take a different route in the heart pattern and come back later to complete surrounding that circle of beads. So cross the last bead to be added (the small white seed bead labelled with a dark blue dot) with both ends of the fishing line, and then we are going to continue onwards in the pattern, but we won't be finishing off surrounding that circle of 4 white seed beads yet! This is actually a pretty exciting step in the pattern because you can start to see it becoming 3-D. Up to this point, it was a flat. Do you see the bump in the heart starting to form?
