Pretty stone bracelet

by Allegra ⌂ @, Toronto, Canada, Wednesday, February 25, 2009, 20:40

Hi everyone, I just saw this pretty stone (amethyst, freshwater pearl, quartz) bracelet on some jewelry website for $12, but it was already sold. But hey we can always make it ourselves anyway. Looks like there's some beadweaving involved (the pearls look like they are weaved in somehow), pretty nice eh?
If it was up to me, I would use elastic string instead of beading wire, and substitute the lobster clasp for another blue quartz stone, but that's just me. I hate when a bracelet rotates on your wrist and the clasp is glaring at you.

Now that I look at it on here, I think what they did was weave three separate strands of beading wire for the amethysts and pearls, and weaved all three strands through each one large blue quartz stone.

My favorite colors! But you know me, I have to vote for the wire with those big stones. I think it would be to heavy for the elastic.

i agree with Jax.. it looks more like wire than string, too heavy to be on string.. looking at the pic here, it did look like it's three separate strands..

pretty simple to do.. but it's the buying of the materials that takes up more time than actually doing it.. ;P

lovely colour.. or alternate colour would also be blue and pink for a more sweeter look.. :)
