Kanditrade is primarily for Kandi, the beaded pony bracelets.
Seen frequently on ravers/kandikids

The tutorial section has a ton of beaded bracelet tutorials, for VARIOUS different things.
Big complicated 3-D patterns or simpler ones.

It's also good for beaded pendants. Such as stars and cubes. (Different then celeste's, this is not solid on all edges)

While it may not be the taste of many people, being bright, vibrant, and 'childlike' in that it's pony beads, it's good for learning some new beading tricks and maybe getting some idea's. Maybe change them and have them suit your own preferred style. I've been able to create many of my own patterns after having learned from KT.

The beading is mostly peyote, ladder, and multi. Not similar to many of Allegra's projects.

I actually had the good luck to find this site, posted in the KT forums when I asked about a beaded bear pattern.

Here are some examples of things the users of KT have come up with.

Basic Cuff ( there are many different 3-D extensions to this )

Hope this helps some of you with beading!!

Wow! Who would have thought up a beaded top? So cool! I'm joining to check out some of the other things on there, thank you for pointing this site out, very cool. I actually have a LOT of big pony beads, lol.

Yeah, that reminds me, I do have a huge stash of pony beads collecting dust in my closet. I got them all at a sale for a store clearance (the store chain went bankrupt), but I never had any idea what to do with them. That reminds me I also love the basic cuff. Would be nice to try some of these!

I'm so glad you find it usefull!!

My username there is DigiX :]

There is actually a user who no longer signs on, but she makes entire outfits from pony beads.
Tops and skirts and shorts, even.

Some of the idea's and projects on there are very interesting. I wish there were tutorials for more of the bigger ones.

Awesome :]

It's heavily suggested to lurk about the forum for awhile and see how it works.
They are very quick to be stand offish people xD
Though if it's just the tutorials you're aiming for no problem

The user who was most amazing at them no longer logs on

And it's not that hard if you know how to peyote and taper :]
Just very very time consuming and probably tedious lol.
And the amount of beads and string used is outrageous.
Not to mention they won't be the most comfortable thing.

Mostly it's a better idea to make a almost fishnet like cover, and wear it over your clothing.

I'm sure your cube would be a great addition to the tutorial section :]
I saw someone asking for a solid cube somewhere around the forums the other day.
And if you can make it with pony beads, many of the users would love to see it

Maybe I'll post a link here! I'm reading around now to try and get a feel of it. There are some really neat pieces! Now I'll have something to do with all my pony beads, lol.

I have tons of pony beads I don't use them much but Jordan (she's my youngest, just turned 6) drives me nuts wanting to bead with me every time I get my stuff set up. I bet I could teach her peyote or RAW with the big beads. The purse is cool too. Tori (my oldest- 12) will love making one of those and I will make Jordan one too. I made her an amulet bag, took me forever with size 11/0, she lost it the next day! At least with the big pony beads, its big and it won't take long to work up. Thanks again for the link!
My poor son keeps getting left out! Maybe I will work on making him a 3D train or something star wars like R2D2. Something to think about I guess.

Lost it!!??
Oh man, I'd have thrown a fit lol

The purse is easy to make once you get peyote :]
And peyote is so terribly easy
I think that'd be a great idea

There is a section somewhere with a pattern sheet, using peyote.
So she can draw out a design that is able to be made on it :]
I can find and link you to it if you'd like?
I'm not sure right off the bat where it is

I have a binder full of graph papers for every stitch you can think of but ty for the offer. I even made some copies of the graphs on transparencies so I can color on them with marker and wipe off what I don't like until I get it right. When I am done, I just take it to work and make a color copy but I bet you could scan it in just fine too if you have a scanner.

I'm waiting and waiting for my confirmation email, but it hasn't come. I've re-requested it several times. I have checked my junk mail, and it isn't there either, so I don't know what the problem is. Oh, well, I would have loved to see it.

Awww, I'm sorry Cat. If it's any consolation, I haven't gone to login there either. So we're both missing out! lol
Does anyone who logged in have any advice?
The pictures Riley posted are nice though. And they look very easy to reproduce just from looking at the pictures.
