Hi guys, I haven't announced it via newsletter yet 'cause I have to write the written instructions, but for those who are itching to make a new pattern, you can get a head start. Here it is:

Wow, I can't wait to try your poodle pattern!!! Do you ever use crystals for your figurines? Great job. Have you ever run across a cow pattern? Thanks again and I will try to make your poodle as soon as I can gather all the beads I need.

Nancy, you can use crystals in the poodle no problem. Bicones, whatever bead type you want. Even seed beads, though he'll be a pretty small pup! I recommend using wire to make the legs, but you can use fishing line or string to make the body. The legs will stand up more firmly with wire. He may be wobbly if you use string for the legs.
I have seen a cow pattern before. I was admiring it for a while and then finally I wanted to buy it and they had sold out when I came to buy it. But the lady who owns the store makes her stuff from scratch, so she will probably have a new one at some point. I've always wanted that cow! It was her cutest animal.

Hi Allegra,
What do you use when you make your poodle, fishing line or wire? If wire, what type do you use and what is the size of the wire? Can you just make the legs with wire or do you make the whole dog with wire. I haven't tried the pattern yet but it is definitely on my "to do" list. Great job. I heard the 2009 is the year of the cow so a cow pattern would be a great one to work on.

Thanks.

Nancy, make the body with fishing line and the legs with wire! I used size 24 gauge wire for the legs. A short strand for each leg should be fine.
