Poodle pattern on the way! Your opinion please...

by Allegra ⌂ @, Toronto, Canada, Sunday, December 28, 2008, 00:33

Hi everyone, I'm working on the poodle pattern, and I've posted a couple of diagrams already in the poodle page. Here's the link:
Beaded Poodle Pattern
The first two diagrams (drawn a while back) have a lot of shading and thick arrows. The new diagrams have no shading and thin arrows. What looks better and what's clearer to follow? I'm trying to find a good style for future diagrams. Thanks!

I think they both look great! I kind of prefer the fancier way..I dont think it interferes to much with how hard or easy it is to follow, but it could be because im used to working the program.

Ah miss moderator, I see you are posting from your new user login. ;-) You should post more often now that it posts a link to your website every time you post (that house symbol). :-P
Really you like the shaded diagrams? Hmmm, I was thinking the opposite. More opinions!

I like a combo of the two. I really like the shading you did in the first set but I like the thin arrows in the bottom two.

I agree with Jax. Love the shading, but the thin arrows give it a much neater appearance. Neither really makes a difference to how easy or hard it is to follow, but I think the neater look of the thinner arrows makes it look simpler and clearer.

I like the shading and the thick arrows.
