Inkscape isn't working for me. :(
Well, I downloaded the inkscape program and tried to use it. I could get all the settings right and make the pretty shiny beads. The problem is, when I duplicate the beads and try to move them. The color goes "flat"..... Apparently the "shiny" part of the bead is stuck in place. The only thing I can figure is that it just doesn't work with Windows 8.
So, now I want to make a pattern using the chart method. I can take pictures to show any difficult parts that might be harder to understand with the chart.
I just need to know if anyone can tell me the best way to make a chart, so that others can understand it......
BTW I'm designing 3D animal figurines. I've already got a few designs finished and that's why I downloaded the beading program.
So, I'd really appreciate it if anyone can tell me the best way to make a chart for my designs.
THANKS!!

I have done a bit of a tutorial on reading the charts, maybe it could help you make a chart.

Thanks,
That will be VERY HELPFUL!!
Hopefully, I'll soon have my patterns written down.
I have a few patterns that are already in chart form. They're also in Chinese. LOL. Hopefully that will also help me read those patterns. One is a Yellow Tang fish. It looks great in the picture, but I have yet to complete it.
