Is anyone working on new designs?

Is anyone working on new designs for 3D animals?

Are there any books in English for 3D animals?

I've been working on a few designs of my own, but finding the right type of bead is hard. I like the 6/0 Toho beads, but they don't come in a lot of colors. The round faceted beads give a more consistent size and shape, but the hole are quite small. So, does anyone have any suggestion on the best brand/type of beads to use. I"m sort of partial to the 4mm size range. They're just easier to work with.

go to http://www.firemountaingems.com/search/?Keywords=4mm+druk and you will find a lot of colors for these 4mm beads. If you would like a different type, just do a search of their web site. they are a great company. Read what the mean by " assortability to save money.

Good-luck

Thanks,
I'll be checking out Fire Mountain Gems.

I've been basically buying on Ebay and getting my beads from China. If I can get ones I like from Fire Mountain Gems, I won't have to wait as long to start a new project. :)

Hi Linda.

I also buy my beads on eBay. With Love Crafts, is auctioning their beads, as she is having a retirement sale. She stocks " Matsuno Beads ". They are also Japanese made beads, like Toho and Delica. I am very impressed with them, plus they also have large holes, so you can pass the thread through, a number of times.

The other beads to try, are by Preciosa, they are a lot cheaper and also have decent size holes.

Vanessa.
