I find that it easier to follow the pattern instead of trying to follow the instruction once you completed the one side of the hello kitty. All you have to do is match the pattern on the other side.....

Yes, what you do is start back over at page 1 and repeat the whole pattern over again to make the back of the kitty. The important thing is that it look identical to the front, so flip it over often to make sure it's identical, that way, if you make any mistakes, you can catch them early. The other important thing to remember is that the blue border beads are already in the pattern, so unlike the original instructions, you won't be adding any of the blue border beads. Where the original instructions say to add a blue bead, don't add one, but rather simply string through the one that is already there in your pattern in that spot.
You're one of the first people to tell me they had difficulty figuring out the back, but I'd be more than happy to help you out and I could probably make a diagram of how to weave back to the top. Another thing you can do if you're really confused is tie a knot and cut your string, then start a new string back at step 1 on page 1 of the instructions. Otherwise, if you're daring enough to string your way back up, basically all you do is go through beads along the way (any beads, as long as you get there) and make your way back to the first bead in step 1 of page 1. Or, if you're even more daring, as Meg pointed out, you don't even have to string through beads back to the top if you want to start the back of the hello kitty's head from where you left off at the end of page 4 because you can do that too, but then you'd have to use your logic to finish it rather than start back at page 1 LOL. The moral of the story is that you can use any path and it will get you the same result. So don't be afraid to just try something and see how it goes! It's not the end of the world if you get it wrong, you can just undo what you did wrong, or just cut the wire to get the beads and start all over lol. The main thing is that the back of the hello kitty looks identical to the front. I usually check after every step to make sure it's identical to the front. If you still have questions, don't hesitate to ask!
