Hi everyone,

I came upon this site by accident and was so captivated by the cute animals that I find myself coming back again and again. I've never done beading before wellz not since elementary school and that's ages ago. Never had any interested in beading b4 until now although I did 3D origami. That was a lot of fun but its time consuming. I'm planning to try to bead the hello kitty with the umbrella this weekend so if anyone have any advices or tips, I would greatly appreciated.

Thank a bunch,

Meg ;-)

Hehe, well, I can tell you different ways of wearing it. At first I wore it as a pendant on a choker necklace that I made (I strung the rest of it). Then I got bored of it so I made another one and attached a brooch pin to the back of it and stuck it on my pink summer hat as decoration. People always assume it came with the hat and ask me where I got the hat. LOL! If you use smaller seed beads (like size 11 or size 15 seed beads instead of size 6 E beads) you can make two hello kitties and hang them as earrings. Or hey maybe you could make a red and white and green one in bigger beads (like 4mm or 6mm bicones) and hang it from your christmas tree as an ornament. Just a few ideas... a diverse project for sure! Hope you give it a try. Let us know how it goes!

By the way, the hello kitty pattern I'm talking about is here: Hello Kitty Beading Pattern
Is that the one you are asking about?
