What about customs costs?

by Amanda Kelly @, Sunday, June 23, 2013, 12:35

Looking at buying large amounts of beads from the USA, a friend did the same from one particular big supplier and she got well and truly stung by customs, which priced the beads out of the market for her. Has anyone any good suppliers I can buy large amounts from without tons of extra charges please?

try http://www.firemountaingems.com/ They have a customer assistant that you can ask on-line. They might know. They have been around for 40 years and they are a very large company.

They also have a progam called assortability. After buying so many items, you get a discount. Almost all items count towards this.

What about customs costs?

Hi~

We ship all over the world and in general, do not usually have many problems.

We recently sent a shipment to the UK, and after looking at UPS & Fedex, they wanted a phenomenal amount to send the package their ($160-$175)!

We researched and contacted our local USPS (United States Postal Service) and were surprised to find-out that it was nearly half of what UPS & Fedex wanted, and that we were able to insure the package. (We did not know we could insure for out of the country).

Depending on the type of beads and the amount you needed, we could find-out all the information BEFORE you made a purchase and let YOU choose the mailing option you wanted.

We are a smaller business and try and give you more personalized service.

Please check-out our website at http://www.beadedpatterns.com or you can go directly to our bead selection and choose from there.

Feel free to email me, or Dragon (through the website), if you have any questions.

Happy Beading!

Donnie
