CUBE/SQUARE BEADED BEAD
Hello...I'm desperately trying to find out how to make a 3d cube/square beaded bead from bicone crystals. I've searched books and the net but no luck yet. PLEASE let me know if you can help or suggest where I can find a pattern or some help!

Holy mother of pearl! I had no idea that Youtube had beading videos!!! That's awesome!! Jax, you should know better than to tempt beaders with yummy stuff!! Oooh, maybe I can make a video of making something with my camera and post it on there. Hehehe. Video beading patterns. It does solve a lot of our issues with how the heck to teach 3D beading with 2D patterns! LOL!!
Speaking of cubes, I have made a pair of cube earrings before and gave them away to my boyfriend's sister two years ago at Christmas. Too bad this site didn't exist at the time or I could have posted a picture of them! They are very easy to make. I'll add them to my never-ending to-do list. hehe.

LOL, I just found them a few weeks ago when I was sick in bed for a few days after getting my flu shot. Somebody on some forum somewhere had mentioned the flat spiral tutorial on you-tube from aunties beads. I figured I would go check it out since I was sick of being in bed but didn't really have the energy to do anything. I spent a few hours with my head on my desk watching Karla Kam! That would solve a lot of our problems making patterns, guess you will have to look for free video editing software next!

Hey, why not, right! And I'm thinking you can make that youtube cube more cube-like if you string beads into each corner. That beaded cube on youtube is kind of rounded in the corners but maybe after making it, you can string smaller beads into each corner to make them more pointy. My cube is different, it's actually a cube with four corners. It's just sets of 4-bead circles made with right angle weave.

Hey guys! I just figured out the cube bead. I didnt make the corners pointy (I dont have the type of beads to do that, i only have round..I've onlybeen able to find the pointy style ones in the bicones, and those are too expensive, Lol!).
Allegras right, it was VERY easy..It only took me like an hour to figure out, and i've only been beading for less then a month. Juse use 4 sets of beads over and over again. I did 4 sets of four, and then started on the side. I did an entire row on each side, then did the second row on each side, then did the top last. Just practice with it and you should be able to figure it out!
IF not I can try to make a turorial. Do you guys mind if I use the beading program though? I'd rather not use 20 sets of batterys in my camera, my camera EATS batterys! Lol. Lemme know if you want a tutorial I can try to figure it out how to do it fo rya, then Allegra can take it off her list! ^^

On friday I went to see my boyfriend's sister and she let me take pictures of the cubes I made for her two years ago (it's good to keep gifts in the family you see^^).
Here they are:

The only differences between them and the ones on that youtube video are:
- they are bigger (4 by 4 grid of bead circles instead of just one bead circle on each face of the cube)
- I've strung smaller seed beads between each larger seed bead to make the corners look more sharp
I hope you can figure it out from the picture! It's very similar to the youtube one. Do that one first and then come back and this one will seem easy. I can make a tutorial as well one day!
