Where to find these beading patterns?

Hi, most of us bead 3d animals, and other stuff like that. However, I would like to try patterns like the following:

It has a bead in the middle, with little seed beads wrapped around. Where can I find these patterns? And if you have any of these patterns, please post them up! Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Jennifer.

This is just a simple beaded bead technique that was used to make these Turtles. You just bead the beads first and then add on the extras. I have attached a picture here with some more examples in it, where the same technique was used. I do have a book with patterns for making these type of ornaments, but just give me a few days to find it. These are really easy to make.

Sorry I took so long to reply, but I do not have time for things being put here that have nothing to do with beading. Unfortunately your request got lost with all the advertising. I was just browsing now and found your request. I have a lot of these patterns you have asked for and will post them, when I have the time. I do have a Turtle Pattern, but it is not the same as the picture you posted and I will have to look for it.

Sorry I am not in a good mood at the moment, but I cannot see what advertising clothing here, has to do with beading and it wastes my internet data bundle when I search and the requests are for advertising.

Will post some patterns soon.

Here is a few more patterns as promised. I think these are quite cute. The flowers are very cleverly made with Beaded Beads. Haven't found the Turtle yet, but I have a lot of books, so I will keep looking as I looking for other things. I am going to see if I can make the Turtle from the picture you posted, it doesn't look to difficult. Will let you know how it comes out.

This pattern comes out of a Russian Book I have. I will make it soon and draw the instructions down in English as I go along and then post them here, when I have completed it, with a photograph.

Hi Jennifer.

I cannot help you out as to where to buy cost effective beads as we live in different parts of the World. But my advice when making beaded beads and you need to cut the costs, use plastic, acrylic or plain wood beads as the main centre bead.You can also normally find big beads like this in the dime stores or the childrens toy sections, that have beading things for little girls, instead of buying these beads from a bead shop, which will more than likely charge a lot more for them.

The RED RIDING HOOD pattern, I thought would be a good example to show everyone what can be made with beaded beads and it is really cute and also has step for step instructions, to help people who have never tried to make them before.

I am the worst photographer around, so excuse the picture of the Turtle being a bit blurred, my son set my camera on automatic for me and I must of taken hundreds of pictures this afternoon and this is the best one. Ha Ha Ha

I hope you can follow the pattern for the Turtle, if you have any problems with it, just e.mail me. I an going to make a smaller one also and post the pattern, as I want to send it to a friend in America who loves Turtles, this one I just made is for her.

I finally managed to take a better picture of the Turtle, so you can see how the head was beaded, Sorry the picture is so dark, but I did not use a flash and switched of the lights in my workroom.
