French Beading or Victorian Beading!!
I just thought I'd let people know I have a blog post that shows the difference between French Beading and Victorian Beading. http://craftcove.blogspot.com/2009/06/victorian-beading-or-french-beading.html
French Beading or Victorian Beading!!
Hi Jen.
Wonderful examples you have made with your flowers they are really beautiful and well done. I thought I would just show what I found a few years back as examples of the differences between the 2 types.I will leave the tutorials for you to post.

Thanks Vanessa, I should have known you'd have something on it. Not only are you an expert in this stuff, but you seem to have every pattern known to man!! LOL
I thought about adding some illustrations, but I thought I'd leave them for the tutorials. Of course I've promised heaps of tutorials now and I never seem to get to them. I will eventually though.

Hi Jen.
Here is a book that I think will really interest you. The first picture is of the 1969 first edition that I downloaded and then printed from rapidsharelibrary link which I posted at beading pattern requests. The second picture is the reprint in 2004 that my sister found in a second hand shop in Auckland New Zealand and paid 50cents for it and sent it to me.The book has only been printed twice. This book is now out of print and hard to come by, I think you will really appreciate this book. I am still looking for the vase pattern for you, my son says I have to many files and data disc's and must do something about them, but I have hated doing any type of filing all my life and have a photographic memory so I normally can recall things but the vase is eluding me at the moment.

Thanks Vanessa, I've just downloaded it and I'm starting to look through it already. I've got absolutely no room left on my computer though, I don't know what I'm going to do.

Hi Jen.
Do like me accumulate lots of data disc's, my son already said I need to install another one or two hard drives. Anyhow here is another link with some nice patterns and tutorials if you are interested.

French Beading or Victorian Beading!!
Hi Jen.
This has nothing to do with French or Victorian Flower beading etc.It is a Russian pattern and also beautiful. I have made it already and it came out very well and when I was going through my files looking for Daisy patterns I remembered this one and thought it might interest you as it is something different and also uses a different technique.
